The objective of this research is to propose an analytical simulation model to study tire-pavement noise generation mechanisms and evaluate the factors that affect tire-pavement noise. The simulation model was developed using the three-dimensional finite-element method based on the computer code ADINA. The model is composed of two main components: a dynamic tire-pavement interaction model and a sound propagation model.
