South Asia Regional Gender Action Plan (RGAP)

The South Asia RGAP for the period FY16-21 applies a gender lens to the World Bank Group (WBG)’s work in the region. In doing so, it outlines a path to enhance the potential of women and men as agents of change toward the World Bank Group’s (WBG) twin goals of poverty reduction and shared prosperity. This Plan reflects and reaffirms the WBG’s strong corporate commitment to gender equality, as articulated in the World Bank Group Gender Strategy (FY16-23): Gender Equality, Poverty Reduction and Inclusive Growth (2015a); the World Development Report 2012, Gender Equality and Development (World Bank 2011a); and the South Asia Regional Strategy Update for FY16
