The damage caused by Elsa and the freak storm in 2021 resulted in a need for 466 houses to be rebuilt at USDS24m and over 1000 other repairs costing USD$14m. (22 impassable roads) and Ash Clean up from La Soufriere was over US20 million. Unsustainable on an annual basis unless resilience is built up. However PVs are installed and electric power sold to Utility pays for the cost of the house/repairs.
