Revised duties of the engineering supervisor (ES) or safe work leader (SWL) in a possession 22-113-DEV

A challenge to the introduction of the rule was raised in November 2022 following concerns regarding project/programme delivery over the Christmas period and likely increased costs and risk as a result of reduction in possession windows, primarily from the Network Rail Capital Delivery organisation and supply chain.
